My daughter has been a student at Manatee Charter School for two years now. She really enjoys it, especially this year. Her first grade teacher is just wonderful, and my daughter looks forward to going to school every day. She has lots of friends and is getting excellent grades in every subject. She enjoys all of her special classes (music, art, PE, computer technology, and STEM) and has really come out of her shell since going to Manatee Charter. I think the school overall has been handling the pandemic very well and follows protocol with face masks, temp checks prior to entering the building, and frequent hand sanitizing. Students were supplied drawstring bags by the school to keep their belongings in, no other bags/backpacks are allowed. The only thing I think needs improvement is communication about school events. Working parents need more than just a few days' notice to attend school events. I believe the teachers and staff at Manatee Charter School truly love working with children, and my daughter''s teacher is excellent with communication. Hoping we have many great academic years to come with Manatee Charter School!
