Called to the Torah Lucas Burstein, son of Walter and Gina Burstein of Camarillo, was called to the Torah on Oct. 3 at Temple Ner Ami. Rabbi Michael Lotker, student Rabbi Lisa Bock, and cantorial soloist Karen Dworsky officiated. Lucas read the entire Torah portion “Sukkot” and guests had an opportunity to “shake the Lulov” in the Sukkah erected by temple members. Jay Greenlinger is leaving Medea Creek Middle School in Oak Park to become principal of La Mariposa Elementary School in Camarillo. Greenlinger has served as Medea's dean of students since August 2007. A man reportedly exposed himself last week to a girl in Camarillo, and the police want the public's help in finding him. At about 7:45 a.m. on Feb. 23, an 11-year-old girl was walking in the 5500 block of Fieldcrest Drive, near Las Colinas Middle School, when a white, heavy-set man sitting in a parked vehicle spoke to her.
