When you consider how Bacon Academy started this year, the end result was pretty good. TOLLAND — The Berlin Redcoats did not want to let the Tolland Eagles celebrate for very long, even when the Eagles were playing only for their pride at the end of the game. TOLLAND — Chefs, artists, and graphic designers from Tolland High School have come together to raise money for needy families in town. EAST BERLIN — Anyone who thought the U.S. space program was history may have been in for a surprise Thursday. According to Manchester-born astronaut Dan Burbank, the loss of the Columbia space shuttle in February 2003 was a “reality check to us at NASA,” but “we have a commitment to go back to the moon and on to distant places in our solar system.”
