Nick Madaras loved soccer. He was a youth coach, a fierce competitor at Wilton High School, and last, a U.S. soldier who connected to children in Iraq around his passion for soccer.He was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq on Sept. 3, 2006, before having the chance to pursue his goal of bringing soccer balls to children who live in war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan. - Holiday sale to aid music students' trip (Wilton Bulletin)
