    I admire my father's willingness to sacrifice time he could spend on himself in order to better serve our town and, hopefully, make life a little easier for all of us at the local level. Newtown is a great place to live, and I think my father can help make it even better.

    Former Rock Ridge Road residents Irene and Harold Schwartz were up from Palm Beach recently, I hear. They were on a mission to retrieve a piano out of storage for delivery to their son, Danny, in Boston. Nice time of year to take a break from Florida, anyway, and enjoy the crisp New England weather.

Carolyn married Earl Newcomb on October 18, 1957 and he preceded her in death in June 1965. She later married John Ternes on November 26, 1971 and he preceded her in death in January 2005.
