Majors Airfield in Greenville will again prepare to welcome home a hero Wednesday with the arrival of U.S. Army Spc. Joseph M. Lewis, 26, who was killed Nov. 17 while serving in Afghanistan. SPC Joseph Michael Lewis, of Terrell, passed away Nov. 17, 2009 while defending our nation’s freedom in Afghanistan. SPC Lewis was born Sept. 25, 1983 in Dallas and attended L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, as well as Trinity Valley Community College in Terrell. SPC Lewis completed basic training at Fort Knox in Kentucky in 2005. The wallet mystery of Banning's Fox Cineplex Theatres may be close to being solved. A man with the same name, birth year and place as the one whose identification was found inside a wallet discovered during theater renovation died in Santa Maria in 2005. Clyde W. L.D. Bell High School in Hurst honored one of its own this week. Brad Blauser was chosen from more than 9,000 submissions as one of the, "Top Ten CNN Heroes." Started by CNN, the program spotlights everyday citizens accomplishing extraordinary deeds.
