    A year ago, Teri Klein and a few of her neighbors talked about how great it would be if everyone in their neighborhood knew each other better. Given the economic climate and increasing crime, they thought it would be a good idea to be more aware and familiar while also organizing gatherings that would be affordable and fun.

    Miles of sidewalks set to be built Over the next five months, nearly six miles of sidewalks will be built in the area near Gulf Gate Elementary School. The longest stretches of new sidewalk will be on Ashton Road between Swift and Beneva roads and on Lockwood Ridge Road between Ashton and Savage roads.
