Tanita Peak, a fourth grade teacher at Brooklet Elementary School, was named Friday the 2010 Bulloch County School System’s Teacher of the Year. Friday on “Mornings unPHILtered,” host Phil Boyum’s first guest was the Averitt Center for the Arts Artist in Residence Lindsay Jenkins. Jenkins offers art classes for youth and adults every Thursday at the Averitt. The youth classes run from 4 – 5:15 p.m. and the adult classes run from 5:30 - 6:45 p.m., and cost $20 each.
