Tanita Peak, a fourth grade teacher at Brooklet Elementary School, was named Friday the 2010 Bulloch County School System’s Teacher of the Year. The annual parade of athletes followed by a fireworks display will kick off the recreation department’s baseball and softball season Friday at Mill Creek Park. The event, now in its eighth year also includes music, exhibition games, tattoo art and the traditional first pitch of the season.
