For her senior project, Pitkin High School senior Brittany Roberts created a foundation, Addie’s Angels, in memory of her niece who died as a result of abuse. The Vernon Police Jury will host two meetings in the parish with Brigadier General James C. Yarbrough as guest speaker. The general will discus the Fort Polk Land Purchase Program at Simpson High School on March 16 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium and at Pitkin High School on March 23 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
