On Saturday, Sept. 19, Eastern Point Yacht Club and the Gloucester High School Sailing team hosted their first annual 2009 GHS Fall Fleet Regatta. Participants of the regatta competed for the Cummings Cup trophy. The Regatta was conducted between Ten Pound Island and Niles Beach. This weekend marks the first annual Joshua's Ride which will take place just outside of Portland, Maine and raise money for the Joshua Kuck Collegiate Scholarship Fund. The ride begins at Cape Elizabeth High School on Saturday, August 29th, at 8:00 a.m. and features 10, 22, and 77 mile supported road loops in the beautiful New England coastal region. - Cape residents don't take stoplight proposal lightly (Scarborough Current)
