  Bobby Montrond, a senior at Endicott College, and Darius Yarrell, a senior at Framingham State College, were point guard rivals in junior high and on the playgrounds, then developed a friendship in high school. They will go head-to-head again in a non-conference game tonight in Beverly.

  Youngsters in Brockton can learn how to play soccer for free this summer, through the Inner-City Initiative program launched by Mass Premier Soccer and Bank of America . Licensed coaches will offer tips to aspiring soccer-playing youths who wouldn't otherwise have access to professional instruction, as some youths enrolled in Mass Premier's School of Excellence program will receive scholarships.
