Nov. 11 50 years ago today NORTH ADAMS -- A.1.C. Leonard Moreau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Moreau of 394 Union St., has arrived home on a 35-day leave. The local youth has been stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base at Panama City, Fla., for the past 3 1/2 years. At the conclusion of his leave, he will report to McGuire Air Force Base near Trenton, N. - Clarksburg Elementary to celebrate 100 years (Gazette.net)

Tom DeReggi and his daughter Olivia, 10, visit the playground at Clarksburg Elementary School on Monday. The average age of students at MCLA in North Adams got a whole lot younger Friday. That's where our Ryan Burgess caught up with some sixth graders who were very eager to go to college.
