    MARQUETTE - The Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees approved North Star Academy's charter school renewal and elementary school expansion at its meeting today. North Star will now work on plans to open up a Kindergarten (Young 5) through fifth grades in fall. "The board requested a K-12 charter. They'll be very pleased with the action," said North Star CEO Karen Anderson.
