  According to Tammy Francisco, Cedar Springs is an "amazingly caring" community, as evidenced by the attendance at a benefit held last week to raise funds for Lizzie August, a young local girl who has for many months been battling medulloblastoma, a form of cancerous brain tumor.

  Help continues to come in for Lizzie August--the four-year-old Cedar Springs girl recently diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a cancerous brain tumor. Doctors discovered the tumor in April of this year, shortly after Lizzie's father, Tim August, was laid off from his job.
