A man and woman with Monroe ties were killed when their car slammed into a moving train in Taylor this weekend. Taylor police identified the victims as the driver, David Obsorne, 29, of Lincoln Park and his passenger, Tara Druyor, 21, of Monroe. Jefferson’s Baily Tom has accepted a softball scholarship to Indiana Tech University in Fort Wayne. The senior outfielder bounced back from a season-ending injury in 2008 to bat .446 last season with 29 runs scored.
