Alpena-Montmorency-Alcona Educational Service District employees participated in their annual opening day to kick off the 2009-10 school year. Students attending Pied Piper Opportunity Center will see a decrease in the cost of meals for the 2009-10 school year. The Alpena Montmorency Alcona Board of Education approved the set student meal prices at its July meeting. Four students from Pied Piper Opportunity Center celebrated their graduation surrounded by family, friends and the school's staff and administration Tuesday. Sarah Alsup, Lester DeLong, Gwenyth Nye and John Ryan Witek each listened to remarks from their teachers before receiving their diplomas.
