One week after a major fight broke out at Sumner High School, the school's principal is dismissed. A district spokesperson told FOX 2 Sherman Curtis has been reassigned to another position. James Wells VERONA - James Hubert "Gooby" Wells, 76, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at his home. He was born March 21, 1932, in Tupelo to Hattie Elizabeth Dixon and Johnny Wells. He married Donnie M. Hopkins on Sept. 30, 1957. He was a member of Greater New Prospect M.B. Church in Nettleton.
