The yearly Bogota Town Wide Garage Sale was held on Oct. 3. More than 70 families had garage, yard or porch sales. Parents for Bogota Football will hold its Second Annual Kick-off Party at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 at the 101 Pub. The 101 Pub is located at 101 Queen Anne Road, Bogota. James Appleton was more than a little surprised the first time it happened. The former Bogota High School standout, who is pitching for the Bogota/Little Ferry team in the Bergen County Senior Babe Ruth Baseball League, had just fired a fastball inside that sawed off the bat in the hitter’s hands.
