    Residents looking to safety dispose unwanted or out of date prescription medications now have a place in Orinda to do so. Beginning Monday, residents can bring their medications to the lobby on the upper level of City Hall and dispose of them in the new pharmaceutical disposal collection box.

    Thirteen turned out to be a lucky number for the Washington State Cougars volleyball team Tuesday in Pullman. Rachel Todorovich piled up 13 kills and Jackie Albright and Oceana Bush each totaled 13 digs to power the Cougars (17-10) to a 25-20, 25-13, 25-21 sweep over the Eastern Washington Eagles (17-10) in a non-conference match.

    Michael D. Britz has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky. Britz is a student at Seattle University, and the son of Robert and Karen Britz of Walnut Creek. He is a 2007 graduate of Las Lomas High School.

    Teens in Lamorinda are still looking for a place to just hang out. Despite efforts to create a teen center in Lafayette, Moraga or Orinda having hit a major setback, the nonprofit Lamorinda Teen Center is continuing to reach out to the community, hoping to find a home.
