A Palm Springs man has been ordered to surrender to federal authorities in Riverside on charges that he falsely wore combat medals of honor during a class reunion. Steven Burton, 39, is charged with one federal charge of unauthorized wearing of military medals, a misdemeanor, that carries a one year federal prison sentence if convicted, according to the U.S. Attorney's office. - What's happening (The Montclarion)

The tan apartment complex sandwiched between a church and a trailer park in the 2500 block of Peck Road in an unincorporated neighborhood south of Monrovia seems quiet these days.
