    JOHNSTOWN - The Fulton County Youth Bureau may have more student members interested in joining its advisory board. Last month, the agency put out word it was seeking more student members, which it is required to have. The agency only has one youth member, a student from Johnstown High School, although it normally has several youth members attend its monthly meetings.

    JOHNSTOWN - The results of the Conservative elections for Fulton County Family Court Judge and Broadalbin supervisor have changed after election officials corrected errors from a voting machine at Broadalbin-Perth High School. The results previously showed Fulton County Family Court Judge Edward F. Skoda leading Gloversville lawyer John N. Clo by a count of 95-67 on the Conservative line.

    JOHNSTOWN - An area man was killed Saturday when the tractor he was using to move a tree flipped over and pinned him to the ground. Fulton County Sheriff Thomas Lorey said Chauncy Sobkowicz, 22, was working with his grandfather, Donald Sobkowicz, to move junk cars from a property at 589 W. Fulton St. Extension in the town Saturday morning.

    Various school districts and groups around the area have begun to take a more proactive approach towards suicide prevention. There were 14 suicides in Fulton County from 2004 to 2006. There were nine in Montgomery County during that same time period, and four in Hamilton County. The four suicides, for a population of 5,228, make Hamilton the county with the highest suicide rate statewide.
