    Communities are observing Veterans Day with observances starting Sunday. The observances include these: Yorktown: The annual Yorktown Veterans Day Parade will be held in Shrub Oak. The year's speaker is Maj. Tracy Norman, principal of George Washington Elementary School in Mohegan Lake, who served two tours in Iraq with the U.S. Army National Guard.

    Troopers charged six motorists with driving while intoxicated after recent traffic stops and an accident investigation, state police said today. More Yorktown scored seven goals in the first quarter and held Guilderland scoreless for almost 35 minutes in yesterday's 16-4 Class A state quarterfinal rout.
