    The City of Newark Parks and Recreation is taking registration for the Summer Playgrounds. We have three locations: Handloff Park and West Park School and Fairfield Park. The program consists of outdoor activities such as arts and crafts and games.

    Blackboards and textbooks have their place, but sometimes you need to shake things up a bit to help kids learn. At least that’s Gord Sawatzky’s opinion. The West Park School principal is a big believer in creative education and the school’s annual Science Olympics event is just one example of this.
