Visitors to Vogdes Street could easily pick out the Williams home in recent weeks. It was decorated with a silver "Congratulations, Graduate!" banner on the front porch. Modess Dye WEST POINT - Modess Bailey Dye, 92, died Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. She was born May 4, 1916, in Calhoun County to Etta Pettit Bailey and Tom Bailey. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of West End Baptist Church.
