    Jesse Lee Adams, a senior at Unionville High School, wanted to do something for his Eagle Scout project that would really make a difference in the community. So after getting the idea from his mother Wendy, who works at Hillendale, he took on a project to improve Hillendale Elementary School.

    Carol Biederman wakes every day knowing she is one of the lucky ones. Her son Matt, a fifth-grader at Hillendale Elementary School, is alive. Matt was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age four, but is in remission today.
