Q: I'm concerned that Cal State Bakersfield is allowing 70 15- to 20-year-old trees to wither away and die at the old Southwest Baseball fields due to lack of water and maintenance. The Cal State Bakersfield men's soccer team is hosting an exhibition game Saturday night against Cal Poly, with proceeds from ticket sales and concessions going to Camp KEEP. Tickets are $5 apiece for the 7 p.m. match. Cal Poly qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season, beating UCLA 1-0 before losing 3-0 to UC Irvine to close out an 11-6-6 season.
