The Gig Harbor Tides baseball team won its season opener last week, shutting out the Eatonville Cruisers 7-0 at Eatonville High School. Six Tides pitchers combined to blank the Cruisers. Gig Harbor’s Michael McCall recorded his first win with two scoreless innings.
