    There is an event in the small town of Lyle, toward the beginning of each year, that changes the lives of a few people and hopefully saves the lives of many. It's the Lyle Area Cancer Auction.

    Lyle High School held its 2009 Homecoming Coronation Sunday. Ashley Blum, daughter of Stephen and Tamara Blum was crowned queen, and Randy Klouse, son of Merle and Diane Klouse, was crowned king.
