    Glenn Nobmann of Sonoma, died on Nov. 19, 2009, of complications from Alzheimer's. He was 86 years old. Glenn was born on July 26, 1923, in Albion, the only child of the late Horace Nobmann and Pansy Wainwright Nobmann. He was a third generation native Californian.

    Six years ago, when Hayward High School student Chris Swartzell was 15, he met Josh Lipps. At 19, Lipps, a graduate of Hayward High, had become the school's technical stage director. Their meeting led Swartzell to Alameda Civic Light Opera's internship program.
