    NAMPA — The Nampa School Board will review a proposal for a new charter school — modeled after Liberty and Victory charters — this Tuesday. The proposed school, called Legacy Charter School, would follow the same educational model as the two other Nampa charters, which use the Harbor School Method. Founders hope to open for the 2011 academic year.

    CANYON COUNTY — Two-thirds of Idaho public schools met statewide student achievement goals this year, up from just one-fourth of Idaho schools two years ago. Locally, officials in the Nampa, Caldwell and Vallivue school districts applauded efforts that have improved academic performance.     What a finish! Trailing by a point in the team standings, 1A's Liberty Charter school needed a 7th-or-better finish in the season's final race, the 4x400 relay to win the title. LC placed 5th, jumping into first place and earning the school its first-ever state title.
