School Reviews

I LOVE YIS (York Intermediate School) Im a mother of 3 boys (ages 17, 13 & 11)(Grades 12th, 6th & 5th) and 2 of my boys attend YIS.. I DEFINITELY GIVE YIS 5 ''s!!And here is why... 1.) The Teachers are so awesome. They''re smart, very compassionate, friendly, and helpful. I would have to say My favorite Teacher so far is definitely Mrs. Mendy Mitchell (she teaches 5th grade ELA). She was so kind to me when COVID19 put my son out of school. I would also like to mention Mrs. Overcash and Mr. Graham because they have also been over the top friendly with me and I think that how nice/friendly and how well a Teacher/school staff member communicates with the parents (well specifically me) means A LOT TO ME!! 2.) This school has went above and beyond to help my boys adjust to their environment (because we came from Gaston County schools in North Carolina) and moving alone can be hard on kids.3.) I love the fact that at YIS you never really hear any complaints about the staff or teachers or students. That to me means the world because my 13 year old has a few health problems and with him going to school I was worried about other students bullying my son but THERE IS NO BULLYING AT YIS... So as for this mama, or family will stand behind and REP YORK INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL ALL DAY EVERYDAY!! WE LOVE OUR YIS..
