They’ve tied their shoelaces and limbered up. Now it’s time to Run for Education. Students and faculty are ready to run on Sunday to raise money for two programs for Washoe County School District students.

Three Sparks elementary schools are receiving a facelift this summer as part of a process to bring the site’s standards in conformity with all district schools, according to Joe Gabica, Washoe County School District director of planning and design, and so far all work is on schedule.
