In my opinion Tahlequah does offer some great things because there are so many students, but those students are also rude when it comes to people being different. My daughter is only in the 9th grade and she already has a lot to deal with, but the amount of people that are rude to her is not okay. Teachers now do everything on a computer which is okay sometimes, but a lot of the time it is harder for her to understand and the teachers are very closed minded when it comes to helping their students. They must be right in the situation or it is automatically a referral. This school needs a major upgrade on attitudes, education, and how the staff treats children.

I have six kids. They have all had different experiences here. It depends on the kid and the effort. There are opportunities but they seem limited in comparison to large schools. The teachers and administrative staff do their best but are still closed minded as far as teenagers go. I have been both extremely extremely disappointed and happy with this school. It's a good school if you want small town atmosphere and you lean towards more strict parenting.

This school doesn't have a single book for ANY class for my 9th grader. I can't help him with homework when there's no books. This school is really subpar. I'm moving my son out of Tahlequah schools.

I'm a former student who went to Tahlequah High School. I can say that the school, as far as academics go, was far from par. I was not being challenged. To me, thats really what matters in a school. That's why you're there, right? To get an education? But no, I sat around all day.
