P.S. 40 needs better program to teach the children what need to learn. P.S. need to create better activities to have parents interested in participating in school. I don't like to go to the PTA meeting because I feel that the same people always go there. other schools have prices, phone calls, notes, and other ways to get parents to go to meetings. Teachers look tired and unhappy. How can an unhappy person teach my child? why a teachers unhappy? why are teachers always complaining? why is it that the principal is NOT doing anything to make things better? I don't see things getting better at P.S. 40 until the principal works out the teachers whats better for the school. This is the reason why I took my child out of there and will not recommend this school to anyone.

P.S.40 Samuel Huntington is not a good school the school is very bad. In P.S.40, a student has a book she writes her feelings in, something like a journal. Therefore, a teacher in P.S.40 took her book and read it without the girl's permission. The girl mistakenly left the book at lunch. Then a person found the book and gave it to the teacher. Now the teacher shared what the girl wrote with other teachers. The girl wrote a fiction love story trying to relate to Romeo and Juliet. Now the teacher called the girl nasty in front of the whole class. Now the girl is going to get in trouble for what she wrote personally. It said in front of the book that the book is PRIVATE and PLEASE DO NOT READ, IF FOUND GIVE IT TO THE OWNER IN CLASS 5-501. What kind of EVIL Teacher shares somebody's Personal feeling to other people? I suggest you do not bring your child to P.S.40 Samuel Huntington School. That school is not safe for your child. The teachers are nosy and they make students grade the PRATICE Ela. What kind of teacher makes a student grade a practice test without any answer the student that mark the test just guess if the answer is right. THERE WAS THIS LUNCH AID THAT CALLED A GIRL IN FIFTH GRADE A BALD HEADED WEASEL JUST BECAUSE THE GIRL ROLLED HER EYES AT THE LUCH AID. Now is it a crime to roll your eyes: No, it is not. In addition, a teacher was threatened to be killed by a student. What do you think the consequences for that is; Being expelled but what did that child get. Getting moved to another class. That is not enough the person who had the guts to say that to a teacher. The person who said to a teacher I am going to kill you can do something violent to any of your children. This are reason P.S.40 Samuel Huntington is not a good school for your child.
