  • Tuscarora High School is a secondary school located at 5312 Ballenger Creek Pike in Frederick, the second largest city in Maryland.
  • History: Tuscarora High School is a relatively new school. In 2003, Tuscarora opened its doors to the classes of 2006 and 2007, bringing the school to half capacity.
  • On Tuesday, May 16, 2006, Tuscarora High School received the first bomb threat in its history. Students were told to stay home, and those who had already arrived were quickly bused to other area schools. Students were allowed to return only after officials had cleared the building of any threat.
  • Teams and Activities: Tuscarora has many excellent extracurricular sports teams and clubs. Its Marching Band achieved outstanding honors at the ACC Championships in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and was ranked number 15 in the entire Eastern United States(2005). The girl's varsity soccer team won two back to back Maryland state championships, establishing a dynasty in soccer excellence. In addition, a very strong basketball and boys soccer team help to complement Tuscarora's athletic genius.
