According to the Youngstown State University preliminary enrollment summary provided by the Office of Institutional Research and Policy Analysis, minorities at YSU have emerged with a 2,557 population based on a three-year average.

Youngstown City Schools will pay Youngstown State University more than $211,000 from its two-year $9.7 million federal stimulus budget. The money will go toward specialized counseling for students enrolled in the Youngstown Early College program located in Fedor Hall.
