School Reviews

These schools are not on par with surrounding school districts. Support for students who are victims of bullying and special needs students seems to be a low priority and there is little focus on character education. Leadership seems amateurish and unprofessional in many ways with a high turnover of teachers and staff.

I wish I would have home schooled my child sooner. Since working directly with my son, I realize how behind he was while in main stream public school. He is in special needs programs and is receiving all necessary support. Happily, we are working "together" with his ES and Spl. Ed. staff to motivate, encourage, and challenge my son academically, socially, and with special interests. The only issue I have is all the username/passwords needed (I did not realize how many there would be!).

during the 1st semester my experience of River Springs was HORRIBLE. I didnt get my textbooks until the end of the first semester. They didnt enroll me until the 7th week of the first semester. I was behind as a result of this and my ES didnt bother to catch me up. Every homework assignment is online and through their website. No one showed me how to operate the confusing website. this was through the homeschooling part of the school. For the 2nd semester, I switched to the Keys program. This is alot better and i would recommend the Keys instead of the homeschool program.

The Homeschool program is good if you are a motivated, educated, and Do-It-Yourself type person. Special Education Department is grossly out of compliance. If your child has any Special Needs, IEP, 504, forget it. You will not get the services your child needs.

I would not recommend this school. This school said that it would work with students on all levels; this is not true. My students fell behind and are now suffering trying to catch up. The High school program is a joke.
