Branford High School is a 9-12 comprehensive public high school. A primary focus of Branford High School over the past few years has been the development of Performance-based Graduation Requirements, a plan that was based on current educational research. In May 2003, the Board of Education approved a Performance-based Graduation Requirement (PGR) effective for the 2003-04 school year. Starting with the class of 2006, all graduates must meet minimum requirements on 12 different skill standards, including writing, reading non-fiction, problem solving, using technology, and communicating concepts in mathematics.
