Brookfield approves buying Nabby Road property as open space (Pioneer Press)

BROOKFIELD -- About 70 local residents and civic leaders have voted to approve buying a 21.3 acre property on Nabby Road so it can be preserved and enjoyed by future generations. At the town meeting Tuesday night, voters agreed to cover the appraised price of $800,000 with $400,000 from the town's open space account and another $400,000 paid over time by taxpayers.
