It was quite the day for the Greenwich High School crew teams during Sunday’s Connecticut Public School Rowing Association championships. The event, which was held at the Lake Waramaug State Park in New Preston, was dominated by Greenwich, as the Cardinals defended their title as state champions.

Students ranked first in CT on the Connecticut Academic Performance Test. From the Class of 2005, 93% attended four-year and two-year colleges and universities. Simsbury High School was selected as having one of the top 100 outstanding music programs in the United States.
Fall Sports: Football (3-6), Cheerleading, Men Soccer, Women Soccer, Field Hockey, Men Cross County "2006 Class L State Champs", Women Cross County "2006 Class L State Champs", Co-ed Bad Mitten, Women Vollyball.

Notable Alumni: Notable alumni of Simbury High School include: Conley Cummings-All-state football fullback at Simsbury Highschool. Got a scholarship to University of Notre Dame Fightin' Irish. He was drafted late in the draft to the San Diego Chargers. He played 8 years in the pros staying with the Chargers for all of them. He never was a star but he held a consistent role for the team. He retired and is now living in San Diego.
