By Marian Rizzo Correspondent Michael D. Barnett, former principal of Hillcrest Public School for Exceptional Children, died at the age of 57 Sunday, while in the care of an area hospice facility. Barnett leaves behind a legacy that affected numerous teachers and hundreds of mentally-challenged students he often referred to as "my kids."
