Brooks County’s prekindergarten students will remain at the elementary schools. On March 10, the Brooks County Board of Education unanimously voted to leave the classes at North Brooks Elementary School and Quitman Elementary School.

Quitman Elementary School students in Johnnie Brown and Zola Allen's Pre-K class were thrilled to meet Clifford the Big Red Dog. Shirley Strickland, media specialist, read several books about the dog while Clifford acted out the stories.

QUITMAN—The Brooks County Pre-Kindergarten program could be centrally located for the 2009-2010 school year. At the March 5 Building and Grounds Committee Meeting, parents voiced their concerns about the move.
