    When fire destroyed Lincoln High School in 1955, Stuart Shipman was credited with quickly springing into action and restoring order to the school corporation. From disaster arose three new buildings in just 18 months. Shipman, who died Tuesday at 98, had served as superintendent of the former Cambridge City-Jackson Township Schools and later Western Wayne Schools for 22 years.
