    When District 150 finally decided in September to close Woodruff High School next year, athletics directors at nine other schools got headaches. Some headaches were bigger than others. “It’s a fairly large problem,” Richwoods director Diane Pettet says of finding a football opponent to replace Woodruff in Week 4 of next season. “We don’t have anybody right now.”

    Peoria School District 150 must close more schools.   That was the message school officials delivered to the Public Building Commission of Peoria on Thursday as they sought approval for funding a $14 million to $17 million addition at Lincoln Middle School and likely more than $5 million in renovations at Peoria High School.

    The second inmate who escaped Peoria County Jail was captured by police Wednesday afternoon.   James E. Fuller, 44, was taken into custody by police about 1:35 p.m. Wednesday.   Fuller, 44, who escaped Monday night or Tuesday morning from the jail after gaining access to the roof, was located at a vacant house at 2114 N.
