Wayzata-based Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners has had 492 families sign up for its Adopt-a-Family Christmas program. In an e-mail sent out this morning by IOCP, the organization still needs 242 sponsors to make sure all of those families are linked to a sponsor.

ALEXANDRIA — When an Alexandria student approached John Wilson and Neal Johnson, he reached out to shake their hands and said, “I just want to personally thank you for all you’ve done for our country.” He told the veterans that stories he’d heard during a holiday observation at the school on Wednesday inspired him to become a Marine someday.

The high school football regular season is quickly coming to an end. The Glenbrook Apaches ended their regular season last Friday, and now will sit out a week until the MAIS playoffs start next week.
