The United States Air Force Band of Liberty will perform a free Christmas season concert on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. at the Collins Center for the Performing arts, Andover High School, 80 Shawsheen

The public is allowed to use the Andover High School track inside the field house starting Monday, Dec. 7 and running through March 5. The hours for walking are as follows, according to Brian McNally, physical education director:

Andover residents are involved ind a townwide clothing drive to benefit homeless and low income children through Cradles to Crayons. Through Nov. 21. the group will collect donations of new and gently used children's clothing from infants to teens. The group is also collecting shoes, newborn essentials and backpacks.

FOOTBALL Tickets for the Thanksgiving Day football game between Andover and Central Catholic will be sold today through Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Andover High School athletic office. Tickets also will be sold today through Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Central Catholic athletic office.

NORTH ANDOVER — It was deja vu all over again for the Manchester Essex field hockey team. In so many ways, yesterday's heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Watertown in the Division 2 North finals was similar to their 2008 meeting. Both games were 2-1 wins for Watertown, both were played in the Division 2 North final at North Andover High School, and in both games the Hornets had a 1-0 halftime lead.

Andover High School is a public high school located in Andover, Kansas and is part of the Unified School District 385. There are approximately 700 students in attendance at Andover High School. The school is located at 1744 N. Andover Road. It is connected to the Butler County Community College campus. The school mascot is the Trojan. Andover High School shares a stadium with Andover Central High School. The high school has 67 academic staff members including the principals.
Extracurricular Activities
Athletics
The extracurricular activities offered at Andover High School are many and varied due to the school's large size. The Trojans compete in the Greater Wichita Athletic League and are classified as a 5A school, the second-largest classification in Kansas according to the Kansas State High School Activities Association. Throughout its history, Andover has won 13 state championships in various sports. Many graduates have gone on to participate in Division I, Division II, and Division III athletics.
