The safety room at Lincoln Elementary School in Prescott was part of the school's Re-adjust and Re-enter program for children with severe mental and emotional disabilities. After dismantling the room, Principal Bucky Bates said the first thing school officials did was seek guidance from the Arizona Department of Education for alternatives to the safety room.
