For the second stop on the 2009 Sparky Tour members of the ASU Softball Team will be making a stop over at Gililland Middle School in Tempe to speak with students on the importance of academics in success in life and athletics as well as how positive choices made now can affect them the rest of their lives.

Arizona school districts participate in a program by the U.S. Department of Agriculture that provides grants for schools to buy fresh produce of all sorts. The program was established through the multi-billion dollar farm bill with goals of reducing childhood obesity and educating children about nutrition.
