Westminster Senior High School is a high school located in Westminster, Maryland, United States.
The school, which is a part of the Carroll County Public Schools system.
It is the largest in Carroll County and one of the largest in the state of Maryland.
Marching Band: The Westminster High School "Owls" Marching Band is an extremely successful organization within the school. It is the first band from Maryland to participate in a Bands of America competition, including the Grand National Championships held in the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, IN. It recently won the 2002 Atlantic Coast Championship, a TOB sanctioned competition and won a Bands of America Regional competition in 2003. It has participated in the Bands of America Grand National Championship for 2 years, and has placed 21st and 37th respectively for 2004 and 2005. The 2006 field show will be entitled "Wood, Glass, and Metal."
Past Field Shows have included: 1997: The Divine Comedy, 1998: The Art of War, 1999: Pandora's Box, 2000: Latin American Sketches, 2001: Project Revolution, 2002: Inside and Out, 2003: The System, 2004: Luminarium, 2005: Impressions of Japan.
